I run a charming  upholstery studio in the heart of Shepton Mallet, where I restore furniture with traditional skills and modern methods paying careful attention to detail. Every piece I work on is treated as a one-of-a-kind commission.

My passion for upholstery began when a friend invited me to visit her upholstery studio. It was love at first sight. I was immediately captivated.

I have a deep appreciation for traditional craftsmanship and hand stitching. This led me to study at the South West Upholstery School in Radstock, Somerset, where I trained under Tony Carr for three years and obtained my AMUSF Diploma (Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers).

My professional journey started modestly, working from my garden and garage, before moving into my living room, with an industrial sewing machine in the window and a cutting table built by my husband.

Beyond my own workshop, I have a strong sense of community. This drive led me to collaborate with a fellow student to organize a vibrant pop-up upholstery festival at Create 8 in Shepton Mallet, creating a space to celebrate our craft and showcase local talent. My experience also extends to volunteering at a studio in Cheddar working on a traditinal drop end chesterfield and teaching upholstery at Cranmore Railway Station restoring the railway carriage seats

This dedication to the craft is reflected in my shop, you can find me at 10 marketplace Shepton Mallet.
